Ocean Floor I & II explore the mysterious beauty that exists beneath the surface of the sea—a landscape shaped by movement, erosion, light, and time.

Built through layers of rich color and pronounced texture, these abstract works evoke the shifting terrain of the ocean floor: sand sculpted by currents, fragments of shell and stone, submerged formations, and the subtle traces left behind as water continually moves across the seabed. Deep blues and aquatic tones create a sense of depth, while lighter passages suggest sunlight filtering through the water and illuminating what lies below.

Texture is central to both works. The highly tactile surfaces invite the viewer to experience the paintings not only visually, but almost physically—to imagine the ridges, crevices, and organic irregularities found beneath the sea.
